After graduating from St Georges Hospital Medical School London in 1988 I undertook various attachments in the NHS gaining valuable post graduate training and experience in different Specialties. I completed my formal General Practitioners training in 1995 and then worked for a number of years as a GP partner in a diverse inner city teaching practice. It was here I developed my interest in Occupational Medicine and when the opportunity arose I undertook four years of higher Specialist training in the NHS to become to an Accredited Specialist Occupational Physician (NHS Consultant grade)
Since completing my Specialist training I have worked in the private sector, initially with a leading national provider of occupational health services and I gained valuable experience working in various industries and with different organisational cultures outside of the NHS. For the last ten years I have worked as an Independent Accredited Specialist Practitioner providing my services to small, medium and large, local and national employers. My experience includes work in the NHS, with local authorities, with police, ambulance and fire and rescue services, in the construction, engineering, manufacturing, financial, retail, warehouse and distribution and food sectors, among others. I have also acted as a Medical advisor to a number of Pension schemes and have acted as a clinical lead and provided strategic advice and direction to organisations with regards to their occupational health needs and requirements.
Like all licensed Doctor's I undergo yearly appraisals of my work to demonstrate I am keeping educationally up to date in my medical practice and that I am reflecting regularly on the quality of my medical work and am responding to feedback. I take great pride in delivering a professional service, striving to provide excellent quality occupational health advice and excellent customer service
